CHURCHER'S COLLEGE CELEBRATES 300 YEARS
Churcher's college was established in 1722 with a legacy gift from Richard Churcher to provide an education for ten or twelve boys from Petersfield in the arts of writing aritmetic and navigation.
For every bottle of Churcher's 1722 bought, £5 will be donated to the Richard Churcher Foundation, providing bursaries to boys and girls today.
This special release of Greyfriars Classic Cuvee has been produced from fruits grown at our vineyard on the Surrey's Hills and has been aged for 6 years in the bottle before being disgorged this summer.
This is a traditionnal sparkling wine made in a similar fashion to Champagne wines, using Chardonnay as the base giving a lovely appley and citrusy backbone to the wine and using our two red grapes Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to add richness and finesse to the wine.
It's a dry wine with only 4g of sugar added into the making and we hope you will enjoy drinking it as much as we have enjoyed making it.
