Our Winemaker Oliver has created this Trio Pack as a celebration of three wines that were made using grapes from the over 30 year old Chardonnay vines from our original 'Old Plot'.

This includes 1x 750ml bottle each of the following wines:

2022 ‘Goldenford’ Still Chardonnay (£18/bottle)

This wine is an accident of serendipity. We press and ferment every varietal and plot separately as far as possible to enable us to make the most of the blending possibilities from each of our 34 parcels of vines. Originally intended to blended into a sparkling blend, in early 2023 Oliver, our winemaker, pointed out how special this wine was and that it was far too good to be blended! Tasting the wine again led to a huge thumbs up and as a result we decided to age the wine for a further 12 months in old oak barrels before bottling in February this year.

This limited-edition release of only 1,400 bottles comes from our Old Plot and Tractor Shed plots and its name, ‘Goldenford’, honours the Saxon name for Guildford and was the winning entry in a competition to create a name for this unique wine.

This elegant yet generous wine is bursting with aromas of ripe stone fruit such as white peach and nectarine, alongside a sprinkling of vanilla from the well-integrated oak ageing. The fresh stone fruit flavours carry through on the palate leading to a sumptuous, creamy finish of lemon meringue pie.

This would be a delight with pan-fried scallops and would even be a tasty alternative accompaniment to a pastel de nata!

2015 Old Vines Blanc de Blancs (£32.50/bottle) - last 60 bottles available!

This is the first ever release of a limited-edition Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine made from Chardonnay from the small original 1989 planting at Greyfriars. 2015 was a very challenging vintage in the UK and the fruit for this wine was picked on the 28th of October and fermented and aged in old barriques. The wine was fermented and aged in used oak barrels prior to bottling. All the base wine went through full malolactic fermentation. It was bottled for secondary fermentation in early September 2016 and has matured in our cellars for over cellars over seven years before release.

This beautiful sparkling wine boasts a tantalising abundance of fresh green apple on the nose and palate, balanced by a creamy mousse with a finish reminiscent of buttery pastries.

2016 Old Vines Blanc de Blancs (£32.50/bottle) - new release!

This is not your stereotypical Blanc de Blancs! This is the second release of a limited-edition Blanc de Blancs made from Chardonnay from the tiny original 1989 planting at Greyfriars. These old vines produce small yields of what is consistently our most interesting Chardonnay. 2016 was a fairly typical vintage in the UK with the fruit picked on 14th October and fermented and aged in old oak barriques. All the base wine went through full malolactic fermentation. It was bottled for secondary fermentation in July 2017 and has matured on lees for almost seven years.

Displaying a delicate, pale lemon hue, this complex sparkling wine has honeyed beeswax and subtle baked apple aromas. The palate is a harmonious blend of richer and fresh fruit, with creamy apple and pear flavours and a delicate hint of vanilla on the finish from the well integrated oak ageing.

While this would serve as a wonderful aperitif, it would go down equally well with creamy, crème fraîche chicken pasta with pancetta; or with a Normandy style Moules with Cider, or lighter roast dishes such as pork tenderloin with fennel.

This trio pack comes with free shipping to anywhere in the UK.
